Here you havesome information about Toronto, in Canada. Read it and then try to answer thequestions at the bottom. Perhaps you decide to go there this summer! High Park is a landmark in Toronto, Ontario located at 1873 BloorStreet West. You can take public transit and get off at High ParkSubway stop. You can also take the College Streetcar eastbound to theend of the line. There is also free parking inside the park. High Parkoffers many year-round activities for free. During the summer there are additional special events including an outdoor theatre program called ‘Dream in the Park’. Families with childrencan enjoy the Zoo, The Adventure Playground, and the Children’s Garden. The Zoo is home to Peacocks, llamas, Deer and Sheep.If you like sports, you can go swimming at the outdoor swimming pool,play tennis, hike on the nature trails, or go cycling on the pavedroadways. Visitors can also watch community baseball and soccergames in the park.If you love gardens, High Park offers beautiful Hillside gardens and a Nature Centre. You canbring a Frisbee or a badminton set. You can also bring a picnic lunch, or eat a meal at theGrenadier café.High Park is over 161 hectares large. Colborne Lodge Historical House is located at the southend of the park. Visitors can take a tour of Colborne Lodge and learn more about John Howard,who donated his land and house to the City of Toronto in 1873.
